Terry is the angler that stays on
top of his game. He spends time
on the water. I challenge any of
our younger anglers to become a
mentor of this guy. He’ll help you
in any way he can. I think that’s
why he gets blessed so much is
because he’ll help anyone any-
time.
Before I finish, I would like
to thank the Ridgeland Tourism
Commission for their hospitality
and support. Ridgeland is such a

nice place to visit; it’s like you’re
in a tourist resort. Everything is
so clean and fresh. The people
are so nice and friendly. It’s got
to be the best venue in the entire
State of Mississippi. Nowhere else
can you do what Terry and Cole
did during our Barnett Tourna-
ment. They fished till noon when
the wind got high; they pulled
over to Pelican Grill on the Lake
and ate lunch during the tourna-
ment. Ah-ha, I see a rule change
coming. Do you think that’s
grounds for a DQ?
Our weigh-in was beautiful.
Even during COVID-19, we were
able to social distance
and still enjoy each
other. I commend our
members for following
out Pandemic Protocol.
Let’s ride this thing
out. Hopefully, we’ll be
back to normal before
long.
Madison Landing is
one of the best land-
ing facilities in the
State. With the great
shopping, hotels, and
restaurants on the
water, it’s definitely a top crappie
fishing destination. There are
guides available that can put you
on fish. Plenty of affordable ho-
tels and great fishing with liberal
creel limits make Barnett one of
the top places to take a crappie
fishing vacation.
Congratulations to Jason and
Parker Eichwurtzle for their 2nd
place finish. I can’t help but be
proud of Parker and Jason. Doug,
Jason’s dad, was my classmate.
Like grandfather, like father, like
son, these guys are real anglers.
My wish for the future is that our
youth keep our sport growing as
my generation did.
