Once again, Barnett shows us just how
nasty she can be! There are some very nice
fish in Barnett right now, but
the wind just did not give us
enough time to find them be-
fore we had to go running for
calmer waters. My hat is off to
you guys who did your home-
work and made the best of
the very short window we had
before it got REAL!
Case in point. Everyone has
come to know Terry and Cole
Stewart as some of the hard-
est working tournament anglers out there.
They spend countless hours on the water
preparing for every tournament. On tourna-
ment day, they use every last minute pos-
sible trying to catch the most and biggest

crappie that they can. Terry does not stop
until he drops those fish on the scale. After
this tournament in which the Stew-
arts weighed in over 14 pounds,
Terry admitted to me that at noon
he and Cole were sitting in Cock
Of The Walk eating a salad! That’s
strong! But you could have kept
that bit of information to yourself.
Next up, we are headed to
Sardis Lake. I think this is going to
be a good tournament with some
impressive weights. The reports I
have gotten from members who fish
Sardis regularly is that as the water level
has fallen, the “Big Girls” have shown up.
Come on out for one last fishing weekend
before the deer season gets serious.
